Using his own experiences, the author sets out to explode some myths perpetrated by later generations that Baby Boomers were an over-privileged, idle, self-indulgent generation that ruined the world.

After retiring from careers in the public Service and then in Private Enterprise, Michael lives in retirement in Ngunnawal with his wife, Christine, and dog, Baxter. He continues his interest in family and military history through his involvement with the Australian War Memorial.
