Beyond a Final Moment

This poetry collection is an intimate exploration of my love and grief following the sudden death of our 19-year-old son, AJ, in 2025. The thoughts and verses are written from within the lived experience of child loss; a love that remains entirely present and his physical absence that is impossible to comprehend. Through reflections of memory, family, photographs, ordinary moments, imagined conversations and the unbearable continuation of time, the thoughts explore what it means to live without a son, brother and uncle, who was woven so deeply into every part of our existence. At the heart, this is not only a collection about death. It is to honour AJ’s enduring relationships where he remains alive in every part of our world.
